From the moment I first held this book in my hand and thumbed through the pages, I knew it would stir something inside of me. I am a trout angler, reader, and writer, and this book hit all these and more. Oh to pull on a twenty pound trout, to see it hiding in a narrow stream, witness the rise, the splash, and feel that fight. Having only been there once but devouring every piece of literature I could find before hand I identify with this book immeasurably. It's a superbly written books that happens to center around a bucket list fly fishery and captures so much more than the fishing. He nails the realities of fishing, the Patagonia region and people in general in a way few are able. Well done.
This book was amazing. I immediately read it again after finishing it the first time.
I am currently 3/4 of the way through the book and have been enjoying it very much, almost feels like I'm along for the trip! Nice readingThanks, Perry
