I the comments I made for the level1 book. This series has some good features for kids to learn music theory, like the stickers and pictures, and some games. But this book is designed for keyboard instrument learners, not for string instrument learners.And the content for the two books (level 1 and level 2) is not rigorously based on the knowledge level.This is a good book for young (3-5 years old) music theory learners, but not good enough for help learning string instruments.
It is a fun book with a lot of stickers. However, the book fits for 3-5, as the back cover of this book says. On this website, the description says 3-7. I got three books (theory made easy 1&2, my first music theory book 1) for my 7-years old daughter. It is way too easy for her and i am afraid she cannot get much from it. It could be a 5-star book for 3-5 years old.
This set of books is my go-to theory books for piano students in grades 1-5. Once they complete the third book, I move them a more mature set.
My 5-year old daughter loves the exercises (and stickers) in this theory! She actually begs to do as many pages as possible. It's helped her learn and cement the note types, names, and note counts. We went through this book fast, and are now going to the Level 2 book. Not sure what I'm going to do when she finishes the Level 2 book.
great for my Suzuki guitar students.they start with level one as young as 5 and move up to this. simple and playful for young children but it does get challenging...
Love these books. My only complaint would be that the staves are very small for young children to write on. I'd like to see them a tad bigger. After these theory books, I start Theory Time primer
This is one of few books that our piano teacher required us to buy for our four year’s private lessons.
My 3 yo daughter will literally beg me to do pages of this book. It had the perfect mix of instruction, repetition and sticker fun with cute animals to keep them engaged. The repetition also makes the learning natural. Love it
